HOW TO CHOOSE A DOUBLE EDGE SAFETY RAZOR

Also, skin tone and hair thickness can change over time and adjustable razors allow for resetting the blade angle to find the most comfortable shave at any given time without replacing the razor. Guard Styles

Straight Guard Razor: The guard of the baseplate is straight across and has a closed comb with a flat surface on the baseplate. This makes it easier to control the pressure applied during shaving. This type of razor is suitable for those with a normal skin tone and light or medium facial hair. This is the most common style used.

 

Slant Guard Razor: This type of razor has the blade angled at a slant, and it allows it to cut the hair more efficiently. This is ideal for people with thick facial hair or those who want an extra-close shave.
